Clinique Pore Minimizer Refining Mask

I have been using the Clinique Pore Minimizer Refining Mask a lot lately. I initially bought this because I had really clogged pores and the SA assured me that using this weekly can help unclog the pores whilst minimizing them.

I was really skeptical about it but I bought it anyway.

In my opinion, it really does minimize the appearance of pores slightly (no kidding!) and my skin feels a lot cleaner as it is a clay mask. It does sting a little when it is first applied but after a while, the mask harden and it feels fine. Wash it off with tepid water, and you're good to go.

Anyways, this is what it looks like when you try to smile while doing a clay mask.

Hope that 'cracked' you up.

Lol, I'm such a bad joker.

Clinelle UV Defence SPF 20

Hey, everyone, it hasn't actually been 2 weeks, but I'm just dying to do a post.
Anyway, this is about Clinelle UV defence SPF 20 in Tinted Natural Shade.

I have been using this a lot along with my Inuovi Cheek Blush in Urbanite and a dust of Benefit Powderflage to go for study groups without having to spend so much time getting made up but still looking fresh.

Initially I thought it was just gonna be like the normal sunscreen, greasy, sticky and clog-y for the pores, but after using it a couple times, it's safe to say that this is not the slightest bit greasy. As for stickiness, a dust of loose powder fixed that in a jiffy. It is fragrance free and does even out my skin tone a little.

I am just loving this one during my pre-exam period.

I have Ipanemas?

This is a pair of flip flops I got somewhere in HK when mine just gave out from all the walking. So initially I thought this was really ugly (no offence but I still do) but desperate as I was, I just took it. (Gold is a flattering colour) And it's been 2 years, this shoe is still as spongy and comfy as it was when I first bought, only, I just learnt yesterday, from a friend, that they were Ipanemas. Ok, I KNOW what an Ipanema is, I swear, and I heard that they were ugly but comfortable, also that they are by Gisele. Who knew the ugly pair of flip flops I have grown to love was just that??

Anyway, when I got home, I took a closer peep at the label. HAH!! There printed were the words "IPANEMA" and I was just beyond shocked.

I remember that they were expensive but, Ipanemas?? In my wildest dreams.

Click! for the link to their website.

After 6 Hours: L'Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation

L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Liquid Foundation. RM 40-50.

On the bottle it claims to match perfectly the skin texture&tone.
SPF 17/PA++

This was probably one of my first liquid foundation. At that time, I wasn't really concerned about oil control but more on blendability coz I was still a 'baby' and looking good effortlessly was what I thought to be effortless. With this foundation, I really believe in effortless makeup.

On normal days, when I don't need so much coverage, I use a foundation brush such as the I Nuovi Foundation brush which is just super easy to use. In fact, this foundation is perfect when applied with finger. I got mine in Apricot Ivory. One thing I noticed about this shade is that it maes me look slightly peachier than my normal yellow-toned skin. It really is super blendable and it's definitely good to start with if you're new in liquid foundation and are worried about streaking or bad blending. Best of all, it looks really natural and doesn't cake up. It comes with SPF 17/PA++ for those who are lazy on sunblock.

As for oil control (*clears throat), before&after pics below.

Well, it definitely has oil control.

The Good:
1. Super-Blendable.
2. No caking.
3. Excellent oil control.
4. Natural-looking.
5. Affordable. (quite)

The Bad:
1. Heavy bottle.
2. Not good for travelling (heavy)

The verdict: ❤❤❤❤❤ 5/5
I think it's the best I've used so far if compared to Sasa HD Foundation (no oil control).
I totally recommend this if you're starting out on liquid foundation and if you have oil control problems. *refer to the good.

Like I always say, you decide!

MAC Lipstick in Impassioned+Estee Lauder Lipgloss in Fresh Berry

I got my MAC Amplified Lipstick in Impassioned from the Sugar Sweet Collection a while back. The colour really caught my eye because it was a very unconventional red or fuchsia. It really isn't red, neither is it entirely fuchsia.

On the website, this colour is described as an Amped-up fuchsia (Amplified Creme).

MAC Amplified Lipstick in Impassioned.

As for the texture of the lipstick, it is in amplified formula so the colour is very opaque and this colour just screams attention. The down side about this formula is that it really isn't good for chapped lips. I had slightly dry lips but this lipstick just cracks my lips up after half an hour of wearing it. My tip would be to use a thin layer of Vaseline under your lipstick to moisturise the lips before applying the lipstick or, you can try layering a lot of Vaseline (alternative:lipbalm) for 5 minutes and wiping it all of before appplying the lipstick.

Estee Lauder Lipsgloss in Fresh Berry.

Fresh Berry is a sheer tint of red gloss. It has no shimmers or sparkles making it a very good gloss to use on red lipsticks. This is because with red lipsticks, you wanna stay as matte as possible, minimizing glitter or sparkles that might look OTT. I love this lipgloss for events or dinners.

What it looks like together:

Under really bright flash, it can look corally.(above)

The secret of Kinder Joy REVEALED!!

I know this is such an immature post to be doing, not to mention just such a disgrace to my previous post,

Black Smokey Eyes+GEO Angel Grey Lenses

but, you gotta admit, if this was available in your country (in my case, Malaysia), you'd be dying to find out what the huge surprise was about. In the tv ads, they just keep repeating how it's a 3-in-1 surprise and a delight for all.

Curious as I was and annoyed that I even succumbed to this humiliation of falling for their well-played gimmick to trick young children into buying unnecessary things, I took one to the cashier and now, I shall reveal to you what all the "surprise" is about.

ps: If you haven't bought one and are still waiting for the day you have the urge to just buy it already, then you probably shouldn't scroll any further. Don't wanna ruin the 'surprise' for you.

Kinder Joy is priced at RM4 here in Malaysia, wth!!

Step 1: Peel the egg apart.

Left Hand Side-2 suspiciously-looking lumps of wafer-y chocolate in milk chocolate soup(harden)
Right Hand Side-Some weird plastic object that looks like a figure of a human head. Also, another plastic layer with ?? covering the contents in the RHS egg piece.

Step 2: Peel plastic layer to reveal RHS contents.

RHS-Some weird plastic thing again. Shape unidentifiable with paper folded.

Step 3: Identify plastic object.

Findings: Some lame-a** magnifying glass. Shape still unidentifiable.

Step 4: Identify folded paper.

Findings: Some weird warning paper (Note: Not suitable for children under 7), disposed. Underneath it lies a couple of the same scuba frog stickers.

Step 5: Dispose of plastic objects and identify RHS contents.

Findings: Smells like chcolate.

Step 6: Get a spoon!

Findings: the white substance is identified as milk chocolate. Beneath it lies a darker chocolate and the wafers are actually chcolate and nut-coated.

After finishing the chocolate, I conclude that the Kinder Joy is well not-worth the money. Probably worth it if I was, say 5 but the chocolate was quite tasty, except that I find that the inconvenience of getting a spoon is just despicable.

That said,

The plastic object in the figure of a human head has just been identified as a small spatula!

Lol, a 5-year-old probably would have known that...

The joke's on me.
